YAMAHA XSR900 (2016-2021) FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM

Few riders would call the first-generation Yamaha CP3 motor underpowered, but there's widespread agreement that its factory exhaust note lacks presence, often overpowered by the signature triple-cylinder induction whir. The Kelpi CP3 Full Exhaust System changes that. Crafted from TIG-welded 304 stainless steel, this system amplifies the XSR900’s iconic burble of an exhaust note, boosting torque, and shaving roughly 4kg off the stock exhaust, depending on muffler selection. The long length 1.5” diameter individual headers provide a broad power band, merging seamlessly into a shorter style 2” link and muffler that tucks cleanly underneath the bike. By optimising exhaust flow, the character of the bike comes into its own, and you’ll notice power gains straight out of the box that can be enjoyed safely on stock fuel mapping. 

Performance & Tuning

• Exhaust Flow & Power Gains – The CP3 exhaust allows for increased airflow, improving both midrange torque and top-end performance. Whilst every dyno gives slightly different numbers, we typically see 4-5hp gains over stock when running no baffle and stock tune, with a further 4-6hp that can be had once the fuelling has been optimised.
  
  
• Weight Reduction – Saves 3.8 - 4.2kg weight over stock (muffler dependent)
  
  
• ECU Tuning Recommendations – Our system runs safely on the stock tune, with particularly satisfying results across the rev and throttle range when using the included standard baffle. For absolute class-leading power across the rev range, an ECU reflash or custom dyno tune is generally recommended, especially when pairing with intake modifications that also increase airflow. We can recommend quality tuners across Australia and the USA that can provide these services reliably.

Customisation (Mufflers / Baffles / Cerakote)

Our CP3 exhaust system is available with multiple muffler and baffle configurations, allowing you to tailor the style, volume, and exhaust note to match your preference.

• Shorty Muffler: A reverse cone muffler with a billet aluminium end cap, classically styled with a signature low-mid resonant bark.

• Flanker Muffler: A modern, lightweight design featuring a carbon end cap and mesh grill, producing a deep burble that complements the CP3 triple sound.

• Alpha Muffler: A longer hydroformed curved design, offering a more moderate volume and refined tone. Its quick-change end-cap baffle allows easy volume tuning, with four distinct volume levels.

Removable Baffle Options:

• Standard Baffle (included in all systems) – Lowers volume by a minimum 3dB while improving air fuel ratios on the stock ECU map.

• Quietcore Baffle (optional extra) – Reduces volume by a further minimum of 3dB at the expense of some top end at wide open throttle. Ideal for European / stricter roadworthy inspections and noise-sensitive environments, clients who select the Quietcore baffle will also receive the standard baffle, giving a minimum of three volumes to select from.
