Performance & Design

This Kelpi system is engineered with two distinct muffler options—each offering a unique character to suit your riding style and aesthetic preferences:

• Shorty Muffler – Our most popular choice, the Shorty features a CNC-machined alloy end cap and delivers a deep, thunderous exhaust tone. Perfect for those who love classic custom styling with bold acoustics.

• Flanker Muffler – With its carbon fibre tip and stainless mesh grill, the Flanker is made for modernists. It produces a refined low burble that complements the aggressive lines of the XSR900.

Both designs maintain a low-profile, underslung layout that integrates seamlessly with the bike’s silhouette. With the included dB killers in place, volume is moderated for road use, while removing them unlocks the system’s full, unfiltered character.

Straight-Out-of-the-Box Gains

Our system doesn’t require tuning to start delivering results. Simply bolt it on and enjoy:

• Power Increase: Peak rear-wheel horsepower rises to 113hp from 108hp without any ECU adjustments.

• Weight Reduction: Save between 2.9kg and 3.2kg depending on your muffler selection.

We’ve optimised this setup to work efficiently on a stock tune, using the standard baffle to maintain appropriate air-fuel ratios

Optional ECU Tuning

Want to push your XSR900 even further? For riders running the system with no baffle and a high-flow air filter, we highly recommend our ECU tuning service. Developed using over four months of real-world data logging and more than 100 dyno runs, our purpose-built maps outperform traditional dyno tunes at less than half the cost.

Fitment & Inclusions

This system is specifically engineered for the 2022+ Yamaha XSR900. Each kit includes:

• Headers, collector, link pipe, catalytic converter, muffler

• Brackets, springs, fasteners, spring puller tool, dB killer & Windbreakers

• Optional Quietcore Baffle for maximum volume suppression, especially useful in regions with TUV, Roadworthy, or Blue Slip inspections

• Euro 5+ Options

  • Beginning in 2024, Euro 5+ emissions restrictions require all European-delivered bikes to run twin O2 sensors in the exhaust. This change is being gradually rolled out to the rest of the world beginning in 2025 (excl. most US States). Most XSR900s delivered to Australia and the US are still running a single sensor. To see if your bike requires a secondary sensor, please check the reference image below to see if your bike matches. If there is no Euro 5+ sensor, please order the standard system.

   

  

Easy Installation

Installation can be completed in 60–90 minutes with standard hand tools (HEX keys, sockets, and wrenches). Full installation instructions are included under the Additional Info tab on our site.
