Each seat is handcrafted using a collection of high end materials that we have chosen and sourced globally, creating a world class trail of provenance unseen amongst our competitors.

Every panel is marked, cut, sewn, and assembled in-house, with a focus on clean fitment and long-lasting comfort. The rider’s section features a 12mm latex-backed comfort inlay, stitched directly into the cover, offering plushness and pressure relief particularly welcome on long upright rides.
Seat Options
Trim Only
Reuse your factory Z900RS seat pan and fit our comfort trim yourself with an air-powered 6 mm staple gun (using our video guide), or have a professional upholsterer handle the install.
The trim-only option features a dual-density 12 mm comfort foam stitched into the rider section, paired with a 12 mm mid-layer bonded to the seat base — creating a 24 mm custom foam package tailored to your body and riding style.
Perfect for riders who want a subtle comfort upgrade while maintaining the original seat structure and benefiting from reduced shipping and easy installation.
New Seat Unit + Trim
Supplied as a complete rider and pillion seat set, fully assembled in-house with your chosen trim and ready to bolt straight on.
Designed as the premium comfort solution for the Z900RS, this option blends a supportive base inspired by Kawasaki’s comfort seat philosophy with our made-to-measure foam layering for improved long-distance comfort without sacrificing the bike’s classic lines.
Comfort & Fitment
We currently offer seat trims for both standard and low OEM seat bases. If your Z900RS was purchased new, it’s most likely the standard height version. If you’re unsure, we’ll help you confirm your setup during the order process.
Each trim is tailored to fit the Z900RS seat pan perfectly and can be adapted to suit your riding posture or styling vision. Whether you want a slightly lower profile or additional comfort for touring, we’ll collaborate with you to get it dialled in.
Installation & Local Support
Installing your Kelpi trim is straightforward and can be installed with an air-powered 6mm staple gun in 15 minutes. For those less inclined to install themselves, local upholsterers can provide professional fitting for a small fee. We tend to love this option, as you’ll get perfect fitment whilst also getting an unbiased professional opinion on the quality of upholstery that we do. Since we started Kelpi, we’ve yet to hear of any trimmer who hasn’t been impressed by our work.
